CHC2026 Award Nominations

Help us to recognize the people making meaningful contributions to hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and the professional hypnosis community.

The Canada Hypnosis Conference Awards celebrate excellence, innovation, leadership, and contributions that strengthen and advance the field.

Nominations are open until October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

You may nominate someone for one award or several awards. You do not need to submit a nomination in every category. Please consider the purpose and criteria of each award and tell us why you believe your nominee deserves to be recognized.

Self-nominations are not accepted.

How the Awards Process Works

Following the close of nominations, the Canada Hypnosis Conference Planning Committee will review all nominations to confirm that nominees meet the eligibility requirements and align with the published criteria and intent of each award.

Where the number of eligible nominees exceeds the number of finalist positions available, the Planning Committee will review the information provided with each nomination and select up to five finalists based on their demonstrated alignment with the published award criteria.

The number of nominations an individual receives does not determine finalist status. Multiple nominations for the same individual do not provide an advantage in the selection process. Finalists are selected based on the strength of their contributions and their alignment with the criteria for the award.

Final voting will take place October 5–7, 2026 and will be open exclusively to eligible individuals who have made a qualifying 2026 Canada Hypnosis Conference purchase by October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

Qualifying purchases include conference passes, speaker or guest tickets, pre- and post-conference training tickets, Mentalism Show & Halloween Party tickets, and conference recordings.

Each eligible voter will receive an individual ballot and may cast one vote in each award category. Voting will be conducted using secure third-party voting software. Individual votes will remain confidential and cannot be viewed by CHC staff, nominees, sponsors or other voters. The voting system is designed to ensure that each eligible attendee may submit only one ballot.

Award recipients will be announced and the 2026 CHC Awards will be presented on Sunday, October 25, during the Canada Hypnosis Conference.

The Canada Hypnosis Conference reserves the right to withhold an award in any category where there are insufficient eligible nominees, insufficient voter participation, or where the nominations received do not adequately reflect the intent and standards of the award.

Hypnotist of the Year

Eligibility: Nominees must live or primarily practice in Canada.

The Hypnotist of the Year Award recognizes a Canadian hypnosis or hypnotherapy professional who demonstrates excellence in their work and makes a meaningful contribution to the field of hypnosis.

A suitable nominee may be known for their skill, professionalism, integrity, positive impact on clients, students, or the broader community and commitment to advancing the profession.

Stage Hypnotist of the Year

Eligibility: Open to nominees worldwide.

The Stage Hypnotist of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding stage hypnotist who combines skill, professionalism, creativity, respect for participants and exceptional entertainment.

A suitable nominee represents stage hypnosis in a positive and professional way while contributing to the reputation, visibility and advancement of the art of stage hypnosis.

Podcast of the Year

Eligibility: Open to podcasts worldwide.

The Podcast of the Year Award recognizes a podcast that makes a valuable contribution to hypnosis, hypnotherapy or the broader hypnosis community.

A suitable nominee consistently provides engaging, informative, thought-provoking, or educational content and contributes to greater knowledge, conversation or understanding within the field.

Innovator of the Year

Eligibility: Open to nominees worldwide.

The Innovator of the Year Award recognizes an individual who brings fresh ideas, approaches, resources, research, technology or creative thinking to the field of hypnosis.

A suitable nominee explores new possibilities, challenges conventional thinking, develops or advances meaningful approaches and contributes to the continued growth and evolution of the profession.

Community Leader of the Year

Eligibility: Nominees must live or primarily practice in Canada.

The Community Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made a meaningful contribution to strengthening, supporting or advancing the Canadian hypnosis community.

A suitable nominee demonstrates leadership through collaboration, mentorship, service, advocacy, community-building or professional support. They embody generosity, professionalism, integrity and a genuine commitment to helping others and strengthening the profession.

Tom Silver Award of Excellence

Eligibility: Open to nominees worldwide.

The Tom Silver Award of Excellence recognizes an individual who has made a meaningful contribution to advancing scientific and evidence-informed hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

A suitable nominee demonstrates a commitment to strengthening the understanding, credibility, practice, or evidence base of hypnosis while embodying the values of mentorship, collaboration, generosity, integrity, innovation and dedication to excellence.

Nominees may contribute through clinical practice, education, research, professional leadership, innovation or other work that advances hypnosis as an evidence-informed field.

Nominations close October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

To participate in the final vote, an eligible 2026 Canada Hypnosis Conference ticket must also be purchased by October 1 at 11:59 PM ET.

Finalists will be announced following the nomination review process, with eligible conference attendees invited to vote October 5–7, 2026.

Award recipients will be announced and awards presented on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the Canada Hypnosis Conference.
